Great documentaries that have come out in the past few weeks

The U.S. vs. John Lennon

Plot outline: A documentary on the life of John Lennon, with a focus on the time in his life when he transformed from a musician into an antiwar activist. (view trailer)
Leo Says: This may not be the most important doc of the year, but it is one of the nicest to watch. With a very strong message about peace it is simply lovly. I was afraid that it would focus on the beatles a lot but was very happy to see that it is very much about Lennon and his campaign for peace, I now have great respect for the man.

The End of Suburbia: Oil Depletion and the Collapse of the American Dream

Plot outline: Since World War II North Americans have invested much of their newfound wealth in suburbia. It has promised a sense of space... more
Leo Says: This is one of 3 films this year that I felt had somthing realy important to say. An Inconvenient Truth & Why We Fight were the other two. I highly recomend then.
